Title: Flemish Bond
Post by: manel_reig on August 22, 2020, 10:13:38 PM
Hello,

I am not sure what I am doing wrong with the flemish bond macro. I attach 3dsmax file
I just want to get the results like in this video of itoo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbwXVwK4N1E

Also tryed to follow this tips: https://forum.itoosoft.com/railclone-pro-(*)/flemish-bond-brick-pattern/msg18381/#msg18381

1 - The segment's Alignment > Z should be set to Center
(the result is even worst than aliogned "automatic")

2 - Deform > Bend  should be turned Off
(this solved the corners)

3 - The X size of the 1/2 brick should be 50% of the Full brick (this is not automatic)
No diference on behavior regardles the bricks I use on the "Quarter brick" slot and in the video I can see they are using the same segment for the two slots...

So I am very confused with something that aperently is so simple... :o

thank you

Hi,

Please accept our apologies. It would appear a small change in RailClone since this macro was created had caused it to stop working. Attached is a file that contains a working version of the Macro. We'll update the bundled version for the next release.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

All the best,

Paul

Thank you Paul!

One last question, is there a way to make the "corners" work with the flemish bond and the running bond?

Hi,

I'm afraid those macros were only designed to work on 90-degree interior and exterior corners. For other angles we'd have to take another looks to see if it's possible. Added to our list for further investigation, thanks for the suggestion.
