I'm working on a building but the fillet is limited to 1000mm. Why is that?
Furthermore, I'm trying to make a glass facade. The spline is a closed rectangular, glass plates are 2000mmm wide, I want to align the edge of the glass in all direction. So if you look at the facade from the front the edges of the glass plate must align to those in the back. Can someones please help me.?

Hi,
The 1000mm fillet limit appears to be hard coded into the plugin, however it can be easily circumvented by exporting the parameter and attaching a Constant or Numeric node. To export , right click on the generator and choose a parameter from the menu.

To align the glass edges you may need to add a segment to the corner input, otherwise the evenly calculation is not being reset for each side and runs continuously around the spline. In the attached file I've added the evenly segment to the corner slot and this seems to do the trick, but you could also add glass to the corner if you prefer.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have further questions.
Many thanks,
Paul

Thanks a lot! that helped. I have a nother question. i'm constructing a sunshade. But its size varies. it's 600mm and 1800mm in size but the transition has to be smooth so I'm trying to build an expression. Can you tell me if this is possible?
-
like this only that the transition has to be smooth (and some corners has to be reversed). Is it possible?
-
I have managed to do it.... sort of. I would rather have the fillet set by the 1s array instead of filleting the spline. Is that also possible? So the variable scale must be triggered by vertex number? And scale must be driven by angle?

Hi,
I think there are too many possible conditions for that to be done easily without using material IDs. I've amended your style a little to simplify the corners and remove the stepped affect. This involves using 3 segments, a large sunshade, a small one and a corner piece that is shaped to compensate for the difference in size on either side on a 90 degree bend. It's not quite right on other angles but it's pretty close:

Hope that helps,

tHAT'S PRETTY COOL! Thanks! I guess there's no way to bypass the fillets of the spline?

I'm working on this railing, why are there lines in the glass?

and the railclone file

Hi,
I've had a quick look at your file and it looks as though there are no smoothing groups assigned to the glass. Adding them seems to fix it.
Thanks,
Paul.

Thank again paul. that did the trick. I have a new question : )
I can't seem to get this on right. The corners will not align and the default segments do not slice at the corner...
-
Hi,
In this example I wouldn't worry about pre-modelling the corner fillets. RailClone's new Bevel Corner mode can take care of that for you :)
I've adjusted your corner segment so that it is straight with a blank end to allow for the bevel.

This is then added to a compose operator along with a mirrored version for the other side of the bevel. The empty segment in the middle ensures that the corner is centred on the spline. Then you can open the Generator's Properties, turn on Bevel Corner and adjust the BC offset to close up the two halves.

You can read more about the way RailClone handles corners here (http://docs.itoosoft.com/display/RAILCLONE/1D+arrays+-+Generator+L1S#id-1Darrays-GeneratorL1S-Corner).
I hope that helps,
Many Thanks,

Thanks paul!!!
