Radiator Problems
« on: March 18, 2021, 10:22:32 AM »
Hey there Railclone and Itoo community,
Finaly I had some time to learn how to use Railclone and im pretty amazed.
When I started to rebuild some assets with railclone in mind I saw your tutorial
https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/creating-parquet-floors-and-rugs-for-interior-visualisations
and wanted to build a radiator for my bathroom wall.

But got some problems with it.

In the firrst picture I wanted to achieve the space between the pipes with a null object (in the example I used geo to see, if it works). As soon as I "clear" the geo nothing appears in the viewport so it seems that I miss something.

In the next picture I tried to drive the position via "Xsize" of the top Pieces. Wich works, as long as I check "Scale segment".
If i decheck it it looks like Picture three.

I m pretty sure it is something pretty obvious, but I dont get it.

Hope this makes sense to you.

Cheers
Sebastian

Hi and welcome. It is really hard to debug RC styles from the screenshot. We could take a look only if You have attached a max file (saved as lowest max version possilbe).
Thank You.

Thanks for the file.
This style is all about the pivots.
Have not changed anything major apart them.

In case You want a deeper RailClone understanding  I would recommend You follow our ongoing series of tutorials. You may also find helpful our detailed documentation.
I would highly recommend you to check our RailClone "Getting Started with RailClone" followed by our "Next Steps with RailClone" guides too.
