Hello guys!
I was trying to do this floor, however could not distribute properly. Each brick should be 10 cm to the left of the latter. Can anyone give a suggestion?

Hi Paulo,
Please find attached a file that should help you to re-create this style. The technique used is the same one demonstrated in the Parquet Floor tutorial (http://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/tutorial_parquet_floor.php).
Many thanks,
Paul

anyway ... thanks! ;D

No problem,
glad you fixed it :)

About that..
In my cases I can't apply the railclone created herringbone because I don't use splines for pavements in my scene.
Most times its and editable poly, and I can't apply railclone for that.
Is there a solution for that?

Hi,
there's not a way at present to add a RailClone object directly to a surface. You should be able to select the boundary edges using the border sub-object mode of any edit poly object and use the Create Shape From Selection tool found in the edit-borders rollout to create a spline that could be used with RailClone.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi,
Is there any way to create a pavement such as in the attached image? It seems as soon as the bounding box of the geometry changes, the whole mathematics behind the pattern don't work any more.
Thanks,

Hi Juris,
This can be achieved in the same way as the herringbone tutorial. I've attached a file for you to look at. It's adapted from the herringbone style that comes with the built in library.

In this case I just adjusted the segment's padding and fixed translation values by eye. No maths required :)
Hope that helps,
Thanks.

Hi Paul,
Thank you very much for swift reply - no idea why I couldn't work it out yesterday. I've added a bit of math to the pattern and ability to change scale of the tiles without loosing the pattern.
Hope this helps someone.
For some reason my file eneded up over 2Mb, so had to zip it.

Did the same thing for herringbone pattern - hope this helps others.
I must say you have a great product, albeit with quite a steep learning curve to get to the bottom of it.
Best,
Juris

Hi Juris,
Thanks for the kind words about RailClone and for uploading the files, I'm sure others will find those examples really helpful. :D
You might also be interested in RailClone's built in global scale function, this will allow you to easily resize many RailClone objects. It's found in the Style Rollout:

Though this would give different results from your examples, as it will scale the depth of the tiles as well as the height and width.
Cheers,
Paul
