free object pops out of place

maybe its been asked a million times but why does the object move out of place when i change it to a free object?

By default RailClone uses the shape and position of the spline to build the object.
But on free mode the spline's position is not significative. Only it's shape is used, and the geometry is created at the RC pivot.

If needed, you can align both objects using the Max Align tool (Alt+A) --> Pivot/Pivot - XYZ.
