hi,
I`m trying to build this railing but having several issues...
What`s the best way to build this? tried also nested solutions , but i failed :(
Atm in my solution my evently Things have different distances or the corner rail is bended and not cornerly (difficult to explain)
Also the look is a bit different, i attached a 3dsmax2023 file and the Picture

solved  ;)
but another question:
if i have a U-shaped spline with 4 verts... is there a way to have a pole 40 cm offseted in both directions at the corner of the 2nd and 3rd vert (not the spline endpoints) and start at these point the evently? (without marker)

Thanks for the file, unfortunately Evenly segments are always calculated to the nearest break in the spline which is caused by either the Start, End, a Corner, or a Marker.

Instead I propose setting up your markers using distances relative to the 2 and 3rd vertex. That way as long as a U shaped spline is always used the corner pieces should remain in the correct position.

working flawless and  i can also copy the modifier and it`s correct!
