HI,

Ghost Town and RailClone are quite different tools. Ghost Town is a specialised city generator, whereas RailClone is a generic parametric modelling tools that's designed to be very flexible so that it can create a much wider range of objects.

However, and please be aware that I'm not an expert in GhostTown, I think RailClone could be used to generate many of the same types of objects. Buildings, roads (but not intersections), bridges, street lights, side walks, cars, street furniture, train and tram lines, power cables and more are all possible with RailClone. What RailClone won't do though is divide up a site into building plots for you, you'd have to do that manually of using a script. Which brings me to a final point. You can easily combine RailClone with other scripts and plugins. So you could use GhostTown, or something similar,  to quickly create a street layout and then use the flexibility and instancing power of RailClone to populate it with objects.

I have plans for a tutorial showing how to build background buildings, hopefully that will help with this kind of workflow too.

Many thanks,

Paul
