Title: Help with curbs presets
Post by: alyosha82 on January 16, 2019, 08:40:05 PM
Hi all,

I've been using one of the "curbs" presets from the library, however with closed splines the result invariably shows a gap. I've looked at the linear arrays in the editor and the setting seems to be set to "scale" so I'm not sure why they don't just scale to fill the length of the spline exactly?

See attached image please

I'd appreciate any advice

thanks

Hi. Please attach Your maxfile so we can check where the problem is.

scene is attached

it's just the spline and RC element - if you look around the RC element (look around the roundabout specifically) you'll see that every single individual closed segment leaves exactly 1 gap, either big or small

thank you

I am sorry this took so long to reply.

Thank You for the scene file. Upon inspection I have found that not every segment in the spline has material ID =1, which is used for the curbs. Some segments are ID =7.
Those segments leave empty space.

Hope this helps.

Well that worked just perfectly, thank you - I wasn't aware this mattered with RC.

Thank you very much!

That does not really matter for RC in general. It matters for this particular style as MTL ID 2 is reserved for different geometry.
