Hi,
I've just bought Railclone today and I'm slowly getting into how it works.
I have made a curved wall with some mosaic tiles and when I render there is some weird clipping occurring which doesn't show up in the viewport.
Converting to Editable Poly fixes the issue but this isn't ideal as I would like it to remain editable inside Railclone.
Pictures attached, any help would be greatly appreciated. I have literally tried every setting.
Thanks
Anthony

Hi,
That's a strange issue. Would you mind sharing the source file so I can take a closer look and diagnose the problem? If you'd prefer not to post it here please feel free to send it to us at support@itoosoft.com and I'll look at it ASAP.
Many thanks,
Paul

Turning off the 'Use Instancing Engine' seems to get rid of the issue (see attachment.)
Is this a bug maybe? I'd like to keep this on as the project I am currently working on has something like 200,000 tiles required and I will struggle memory wise if the proxy/instancing system is unavailable.
Thanks
Anthony
Edit - I have just emailed the scene to you - thanks

Use instancing engine is somewhat similar to collapsing the object to a mesh so it will render exactly as in the viewports. It may be a bug but we haven't encountered it before. I'll check out the source file and hopefully I'll be able to give a you a better idea of what the issue is and if it is a bug, we'll look at how to fix it. Otherwise I might be able to suggest a workaround.
Many thanks,
Paul

Hi Anthony,
I have answered via email too with an amended file. Thanks for reporting this issue, we've been able to identify a bug that occurs when using a Y Spline in conjunction with the X-Rotate property. However there is a workaround that maintains instancing you can use instead. Remove the existing Y Spline and use the Generator's Y Size property instead. You can then rotate the array into the correct position using the X Rotate property set to 90 degrees and you should find it renders correctly.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have further questions.

Excellent,
Thanks for your help. I have actually started to turn off the instancing engine as loading the proxied versions of my railclone objects seems to take a lot longer than non-proxies. I'm guessing it's down to writing out the proxies and then reading them back in once the render is started?
Cheers
