Is it possible to automatically manage this “special feature” of a roof?

Hi,

Unfortunately, the 'Extend X/Y Size to Area' feature — as used in the Roof Macro — comes with certain limitations. In your case, using multiple attached rectangular splines might be a suitable approach. I hope this helps.
