Complex Tile Pattern
« on: January 04, 2022, 10:27:00 PM »
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or ways to achieve this pattern in rail clone?
https://www.nemotile.com/collections/mosaic-tile/psaico.html#

It seems like it should be possible to create something similar to this, it doesn't have to be a hyper exact re-creation.

Thanks!

I wouldn't be using railclone for that. It's a repeating pattern, so just make up a few textures for it.

If you did want to use RailClone though, it should be fairly straightforward. The tiling pattern is shown on the website so you could just model it as a single object and add it to an A2S array in the Default input. Close up the gaps with negative padding and you'd be good to go!

Thanks for the tip! I was getting too far down into trying to create the 1'x1' tile itself in rail clone.
