Ho to overlap with macros??
« on: January 21, 2022, 10:48:35 AM »
Usually, people don't want geometry to overlap. In my case, I want to create an overlap between blocks so they lock togeather
As an example, I have Lego blocks and a brick running bond macro (Se image).
The problem is they don't interlock since the new row starts where the "nubs" on the top end.
I've tried fiddling with padding but nothing happens and I don't want to have a separate object for the top row. Is there a simple way to use the macro and make they interlock?

Hi,

The reason you can't change the padding is that its values are overridden in the Macro. By editing the Macro though you can add an additional Numeric parameter just to the top padding that works alongside the existing grout spacing. Please see the attached file for an example.
