Licence server issue?
« on: September 19, 2017, 11:31:37 AM »
Hey guys,

We seem to have developed a license server issue here.

We currently have floating licenses for both railclone and forest pro, and they're hosted/installed on one of our render nodes. The issue (seems to be) that when the node is rebooted, the license server doesn't start up automatically and we have to remotely log on and start it via the license manager.

Is there any reason for this? How can we set it to be automatic again?

Hi,

Please find the Itoo Software License Server service (you can access your Windows Services list by opening a run box (Windows key + R) and then type services.msc and press return). It should be running and the Startup type set to Automatic. Hope that helps.

Hi, apologies for the slow reply - have been super busy.

It is set to Automatic, but the problem persists.

Hi,

Sorry to hear you're still facing troubles with it. I would suggest you to have a look in the Event Viewer for any related error(s). From there you should identify what's forcing start of the License Server service. Also, would you mind to enable the debug mode in the License Server and send us the log file (from the Itoo Software License Manager - License Server tab - View Log...)?

Thanks in advance for any further comments on this issue you can share about it with us.

Best regards,
