Hi

I followed along the Itoo tutorial for the t grid ceiling and it works great. However, often times, a light fitting ends up at the edge of the clipping spline. How can I shift the entire thing over a bit, so instead some ceiling tiles are cut and not the light fittgin, while at same time still staying and filling inside the clipping spline?

Offsetting the generator in x or y seems to be more or less what I'm after, however then it doesnt fill the clipping spline anymore...

Ideally some solution for an export parameter would be great, so it can work on any clipping spline without having to adjust the style

....and for a part2 of the question, can RC use VRay lights yet?

I'd like to add VRay Lights slightly underneath each light fitting with RC. How may I go about doing that, if possible?

Hello Morne,

The latest versions do indeed support V-Ray Lights. You can add them just as you would any other segment or include them in a group.

To slide the array around within the spline, first increase the size of the array using the Clipping > Expand property. You can then use the Generator's X and Y offset parameters to move it around.

I hope that helps,
Paul

Grrrrrrrr How can I get the RC object to stick to the cliping spline?

If I rotate the clipping spline, the RC object auto adjusts to stay as is. I want the RC object to be linked to the clipping spline so when I rotate my rectangle in Z (since my building is not on x or Y), it follows along

Hi Morne, just change the Clipping > Auto Align mode to To Spline

Cheers,
Paul

facepalm! Knew it ws something simple

I'm on 5.1.2. Does that version support VRayLights, or literally only the latest version only?

It was introduced in version 5, so you should be fine!

Hmmm I'm not getting it to work then

I have the vraylight grouped into my light fitting now, but I still only see my light fitting in the result
