Clipping area "inset"
« on: August 16, 2020, 01:41:48 AM »
Hello,
is it possible to "inset" clipping area like i sketched on preview ? If for example red lines would be clipping spline.
I can do this with using Outline feature in Editable spline , but i'd like to create a preset using one spline.
Idea is to create border planks along the edge different , following the border direction, with additional 1S array.

Hi
You can. We have made a free modifier that can be used for such usecases:
https://www.itoosoft.com/freeplugins/splineoffset

You can manipulate offseted splines material ID with fine control.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, both of you!
@Rokas , I managed to make it easily with SplineOffset, exactly what I was looking for. Similar to Outline but follows all changes made on Spline.
@Dragan , great Macro! It has lots of features to easily make floor with border. I only had time to do a quick test with it. But I'll test it more and get back to you with my final feedback asap!

Thank you both again :)
