Inconsistencies with XSplineMatID?
« on: December 16, 2016, 11:15:08 AM »
Hi,

I've been having some inconsistencies with XSplineMatID, in the most recent build.

I want to change my end segment type based on the Spline Mat ID.

If the Spline Mat ID was between 3 and 10 (so 4,5,6,7,8 or 9) I wanted a to select a different end type. If I create a arithmetic node and use a selector this does not work correctly. It sees the ID of the last default segment instead.

I am able to get it to work ok with nested conditional statements though. I was just wondering about the arithmetic not working though as obviously it's possible to do much more powerful things there.

Hi,

Upon my quick test, the Arithmetic Operator's XSplineMatID variable seems to give correct values for the Selector Operator used to pick the End Segment. Would you mind to describe your set-up more in detail (a minimal scene, where you can reproduce these troubles would be ideal).

Best regards,

I think you need to have a default segment. I'll do a quick test.

Can't reproduce now, I'll just put it down to me doing something really stupid, sorry for wasting your time.  :o
