Instancing issue
« on: April 05, 2015, 06:40:28 PM »
Hi,
I recently purchased Railclone Pro.
I created a stripled rail 10 meters long. It consists of brackets, plugs and supports.
Because I want to animate each element I need to bake all the instances.
Well, the instancing command generates some single components and some merged, not all the components are separated objects.
Why?
Do you need my scene?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us. RailClone Tools can only create instances from segments that remain identical, this excludes geometry that has been deformed or sliced and therefore cannot be instanced. Non instanced geometry is by RailClone tools into a single mesh.

The way to ensure that all segments are instances is to disable Bend and Slice in the Segment's properties. In that way all geometry will be instanced.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have further questions.

Many thanks,

Paul

Thank you, I understand.

After some tests I see that Railclone it's really powerful.
