Title: Instancing macros
Post by: arch3d on May 27, 2022, 12:37:56 AM
Hello,
Do you find instancing macros option usefull?

Many times I use couple macros connected to various slots and i need to edit them one by one.

Best
Michal

Although we can export parameters and connect numeric nodes to drive multiple macros/transform operators at once I support instancing for both macros and transforms. Sometimes it can be useful for "under the hood" processes, especially when creating/editing macros.
I also have a need for the Embedded Segments inside macros for creating Generators with constant geometry beside Macro's Inputs for the User.

True what you say i was thinking about editing macros. Sometimes i have couple copies of same macro and editing one by one is nightmare.

For that purpose, I usually just save the macro and reload to another one, but I know what you are talking about  ;)
