Interpolation between scaled segments
« on: August 06, 2024, 11:04:46 am »
Googles but couldn't find anything: I have a tubular ducting setup where I use markers to specify the diameter, would it be possible in theory to taper between different diameters? Currently I have no way of doing that so different base-splines can have different diameter ducting assigned to them, but in order to have a change from one diameter to another on the same spline with a taper inbetween I have to assign a new segment to the marker at the change point, which obviously only works for those particular values.

Hope that makes sense - can add images if not.

Hi,

Unfortunately, RailClone does not currently have a feature that deforms segments to create smooth transitions. However, you can use prebuilt segments for specific radius reductions. These can be selected based on the Material ID, which might be the most versatile option, as it allows evaluation of both the current and Next Material ID.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
