kind of a dumb question - multiple setups in 1 RC object?
« on: May 09, 2022, 09:01:58 PM »
hi all.  so, i created some metal panel wall cladding (a penthouse on a large building) in a 2s Array.  i created 3 different pieces of geometry and quickly used sequence and wired up the 3pcs in a sequence.

ok so on another part of the building, there is another wall i want to clad with same thing.

so is it wrong to open up that 1st RC object and just add another 2s Array, a different spline etc... this way i figured i could just repeat the sequence all over without having to recreate a new one.  attached is a screen grab.

the attached show 3 little arrays but i was wondering if it's the wrong way to do it?  i'm going to add 2 more :)

There's nothing wrong with that approach at all, depending on your scene, another option might be to just attach the splines into a single object so you don't need to even create new generators.

Cheers,
