Latest RC destroying old RC's
(1/1)
DM5847:
Hi,
Have you guys bug tested Railclones that have a polyedit modifyer in the stack? We tend to use them when tweaking RC geometry, but since the latest release (6.3.6) it's destroying this step meaning we need to redo all the poly edits again. We updated last week from...whatever the last release was pre the release of vray7.
We have the same issue if we update a referenced dwg file where the spline has been changed which has a RC connected to it and has a polyedit over it. That has always been the case so we're aware of that and work around it, but this one just happens when nothing has changed (in max or dwg), except that we have the latest railclone version.
The image is from a project from 5 months ago that I need to work on today, you can image what an absolute nightmare it's going to be to try to remember what we changed in projects that have a large number of these edits...
Any thoughts?

Hi,
I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing. Unfortunately, this type of problem can be challenging to avoid because the Edit Poly modifier relies on numbered vertices. Even minor changes to the object - including fixes for previously introduced bugs - can impact the result. Using the Proxy Cache to store these objects should help.
Best regards,
