Loading custom style resets parameters type
« on: July 19, 2023, 04:55:05 pm »
Hi,

I've just found another bug:
When loading a custom preset (created with previous version of RC6) from our library all numeric parameters of "selector" type are changed to "float" type.

I can't attach the scene since it's a library related issue.

RC 6.1.2
3DS Max 2021.3.16, 2023.3.4
Windows 10

Best regards,
Przemek

Have you been able to reproduce this?

One more thing I've noticed is that when I open the source scene (the one that the library style preset is loading from) the parameters are correct, but when I load it via library browser then the type is changed to float.

It affects a lot of our styles since we like and use the selector parameter a lot. :)

I attached two screenshots, one from the source scene and one from a scene after loading thru library browser.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this, I've been able to reproduce this issue here. I'll pass it over to our development team as a critical issue,

Many thanks for letting us know, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Best,

Paul

Thanks Paul,

After some more testing:
I don't know if you guys noticed that already too but the "percentage" type parameter is affected in the same way.

Thanks - I'll add that too. Probably the two issues are related.

Cheers,
