Macro instancing option
« on: May 07, 2019, 09:24:27 AM »
I REALLY miss an option to instance a macro so that all modifications on a macro will update on all instanced macros.
I have made some macros that will be used several times within the same setup. IF I find an error, - or modify it for something better, I have to repeat it through all the same macros in the setup. Lets get object oriented a little!!!

At the same time - and maybe this is most needed when you instance a macro in the same setup - it would be cool to have kinda two names for the macro - the macro function name (which will/most be the same for all instances) - and a label name - that can be a descriptive name for the use of the explicit macro instance.

Thanks

Hi Lars

This feature is our to do list already. I agree that this would be useful in some cases.
That being said, it is hard to implement and we are currently working on other features so can't promise it anytime soon.

Any news on whether this is a feature yet or not?

Hi,

thanks for the nudge. It's still on the to-do list at present. I'll add a +1 to register your interest.

Best,
Paul
