HI!

Look at your source model I'd say that you should just be able to add a segment like that to the Default input in RailClone and you're good to go. You'll need to adjust the Padding a little to overlap segments and make sure there wasn't a visible joint but I can imagine that would work nicely.

If you're having a particular problem with the source model working with RailClone, let me know the details and/or the file and I'll do my best to help out.

Many Thanks,

Paul

Thanks for the file.

You're not seeing the image because RailClone has exceeded one or more of it's limits. You'll find these in the Display rollout.

However, instead of increasing these limits, I'd recommend optimising the style so that as much of it is instanced as possible. To do this it's helpful to understand when a segment is converted to non- instanced geometry, basically there are two rules:

Because the curves in your hedge are over a very large area, I think you'll be able to turn off bend without seeing any visible problems and thus maintain instancing, saving loads of memory. If we turn off slicing too, we get a highly optimised and low memory style. To do this.

1. Select the hedge segment, go to the properties and turn off Bend and Slice.

2. Go to the Generator's Properties and change the Default Mode to Adaptive.

I've attached a version of your file with those changes.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Many Thanks,

Paul
