Title: Making a parquet floor with real dimensions
Post by: RG1537 on June 15, 2018, 10:16:32 PM
Attached picture is representing a parquet floor. How would I go a long making something like this with RailClone? Each color represents a unique parquet plank and they all have the same dimensions(let’s say 2200x180mm). Each plank might include smaller rods so no scaling, no half-planks, nor other touching to the original geometry is allowed, only slicing in the ends.

Basically I want each row offsetting something like 35% and I don't want to affect the original geometry. Any help?

Hi

Great question. RailClone is good at this.
I attach a starting point scene for You to check.
