Markers & UV's
« on: March 21, 2023, 11:10:50 AM »
Hi,

Is it possible to retain uv's when using markers?

i have a long section of mapped wall that i'd like to intersect with vertical chamfered dividers (which need to be placed manually, as they need to match reference) I'm currently trying to achieve this with a simple L1S using 2 segments, 1 for the main wall & 1 for the chamfer & the using markers to place the chamfers segment- my issue is that wherever there is a marker/ chamfer segment the main wall segment starts again & this is giving visible repeating- is this just a limitation of using markers? or is there a work-a-round to prevent this?

Hi,

For this kind of purpose, using the Apply Box Mapping feature should help.

Best regards,

bit tricky lining up the uv's with lengths/widths/height & offsets & had a few issues with max's default/standard renderer & instancing engine ...but all good & working!

thanks Michal!
