Driving Y size with RC spline modifier
« on: November 12, 2021, 03:15:44 PM »
What am I doing wrong here? Array2S and export Y size, plug in X-spline variable with Marker data channel 0 ticked. Add RC spline mod to base spline and add marker - input value in to Channel 0 slot.

I thought this woulkd be a good way to drive a variable width, it doesn't neccesarily need to be a Array2S and it will just be following one spline.

There are several limitations when using marker data to control generator parameters many of which are related to the order in which processes are evaluated internally. Improving this is on our wish list, but it's not likely to be included in RailClone 5. On the other hand, you can control some generators with markers if the generator is nested. The attached file (created in RC5 but probably works in earlier versions too) demonstrates this. Perhaps it can help with your situation.

Best,
Paul
