Interface Graphics issues
« on: November 15, 2017, 08:08:44 PM »
Hello,

We have recently upgraded to Rail Clone 3 (currently running 3.0.8) and have noticed quite a few graphical issues (see attached). We are running in 3DS Max 2018 on 4K monitors, so we are unsure if this is an issue with 4K or not. The issues are mainly with the left-most panel in the editor where text and value sliders get truncated and/or compressed.

Also a suggestion, if you have a color selector for notes which changes the background of the note box, you should also have a color selector for the text as well. See attached image for example where I changed the color to a cyan, making the white text unreadable. If I could have black text, for example, it would be better in this case.

Hi,

Well, as mentioned in this "4K screens" tightly related thread:: "The graphical API we use for Style Editor, Lister and other elements (Qt 4.x) doesn't support 4k screens. We must migrate it to a recent version, similar to Max 2017/2018 which uses Qt 5.x. But this is a complex process, and requires many changes in the code and our compiling workflow."

Unfortunately, older versions of 3ds max doesn't support Qt 5.x it would require to adapt our compiling work-flow or find another solution - it'll take its time. Thanks for your comprehension.

Best regards,
