Title: Material operator and difference between viewport / render windows
Post by: Cherami on October 07, 2019, 03:45:36 PM
Hi,

I've created a tiles with railclone, closely similar to the tutorial "Macros: Mirror Variations and Stepped Rotation".
I have some difference between viewport and render (see attached files). It seems that material operator doesn't work when i'm rendering a frame.

What i'm missing to have the same result between viewport and render window?

I'm using Corona renderer and 3DSMax 2018

Regards,

Hi,

Currently, when using the Corona Renderer, the Use Instancing Engine option should be disabled, because Material / UVW XForm Operators are just partially supported (as you can see in the Feature Compatibility (http://docs.itoosoft.com/display/RAILCLONE/Rendering+Best+Practices#RenderingBestPractices-FeatureCompatibility) table) - to get these working correctly with the Corona Renderer, the Use Instancing Engine should be switched off.

Best regards,

Thanks. It works well with Use Instancing Engine option disabled.
