A2S with intersections help
« on: December 20, 2017, 12:37:28 PM »
Hi,

Thanks for your previous help with the Array2S generator, I have just one more snag to solve before I manage to get this working as we need.

I can't seem to get the intersections to extend to the end of the array. I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing, but I can't work it out. Would you be able to take a look and let me know where I'm going wrong?

Also, thank you for the great support. We've managed to integrate Railclone into our everyday pipeline for Masterplan and Planning application images now - we have some great examples of facades produced with RC now and the client feedback has been extremely positive. We've also bought a licence for each artist and I can't recommend you guys enough.

Hi,

Thanks for the kind words, we're really pleased to hear that you're finding RailClone useful for your work. If you're ever able to share screenshots or information that we could use for promotional material or a case study please feel free to drop us an email on submission@itoosoft.com.

Regarding your questions, please see the attached file. The issue here is that Adaptive mode doesn't allow the Y Evenly segments to be bevelled at the corners. To solve this I've split the style across two generators. One of them is set to Adaptive mode and adds all the building components except for the Top, Y Evenly and Bottom. It uses adaptive mode as per the original style. To create the gaps the size of the original horizontal components is wired to the Fixed Size input of an empty Segment node.

The macro is then cloned and switched to Scale mode to add the remaining pieces. Bevel mode is set to Reset for the corners.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

All the best,

Paul
