Title: metal siding on a building
Post by: grue on September 27, 2022, 10:16:46 PM
hello.  i thought i was clever and used a selector with spline material ids to create metal panel above the window openings vs the full height of the wall.  it seems that there are gaps that ruin it. ha.

so i have a line that traces the outline of the walls and i'd like to put a vertical metal panel all the way around it.  my line has vertices where the window openings start and end. then i just detached the window opening lines as their own sub-spline (so it's all still 1 spline) and chnaged the material id of those lines to 2. with mat id 1 being the rest of the walls.

any other approach i could take with this?

thanks!
