Minimum angle to consider a node a corner
« on: November 30, 2021, 01:22:58 PM »
Hi everyone. I'm generating some complex railings using curves that were created on a different software. The problem I'm having is that, close to the actual corners, I have some aditional nodes that are being registered as corners by RC, so I get duplicated corner segments:

Fixing the curves is not really an option, is there anyway to tell RC to just treat as corners nodes that have a certain angle? or is there any other solution?

Thanks a lot!

Here's a link to the file, is to big to upload to the forum: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ds021pz0qti9q6c/Railings.max?dl=1

Hi,

You might be able to resolve this by adding a Conditional operator to the Corner input. Enable Vertex>Angle mode and set an angle value that eliminates the unwanted segments as follows:

I hope that helps,
