The issue is that the number of polygons changes due to the difference in mesh shapes coupled with a boolean. You can see it by using the Polygon Counter utility. With one version the result has 110140 polygons and with the other 110012. The morpher modifier requires the vertex/poly count to remain the same or it won't work.

The answer therefore is probably to create the morph target after RailCone has carried out the spline boolean. You can do this using a Volume Select modifier to pick the front faces, I used smoothing groups, and a Displace modifier to move them into position (you could use an edit poly of course, but this keeps things procedural).

Please see the attached file for an example.

Best,
Paul

Hi,
It's a little hard for me to understand ...
Hope there is a simpler way I can understand
I opened the file but it still seems that the morphe effect is not working

It doesn't look like this for you? (I've scaled down the gizmo a bit to make it clearer)

it looks great
I opened your file, but for some reason, the effect does not work when I move the gizmo.
What am I not doing well?
(I work in Centimeters if it is related)

Maybe you are using a different version of RailClone and the mesh regenerated with a different number of polygons from the one saved in my Morph target.

Maybe try regenerating the morph target again?

Oops - sorry I was on an older version of RailClone myself. I can see it's not working in 5.2.5 for me either. Give me a sec and I'll try and work out what's going on.

Please try the following:

1 - Add an Edit Poly modifier just above the RC Object
2 - Disable the top Volume Select modifier
3 - Enable the bottom Volume Select and Displace Modifiers.

4 - Delete the existing Morph target and recapture the current state. Set the Morph amount to 100%
5 - Disable the Displace and first Vol. Select modifiers. Make sure you leave the Edit Poly modifier enabled.
6 - Enable to top volume select modifier.

That seems to fix it here. Let me know if it works for you too.

Cheers!
