need some help creating a thatched roof

I need to create a thatched roof for a Gazebo, pretty similar to the attached screenshot, and i was trying to get it done in railclone, but results where pretty bad.

So, i would like to ask if someone can help me with this

Hi Uwe,

Though you can use negative Padding values to get used Segments closer, for this kind of purposes, I would choose the Forest Pack plug-in - please feel free to check this "thatched roof" thread regarding the possible set-up. I hope you'll find it useful.
