randomizing various sized elements don't end where they should.
« on: February 04, 2021, 01:07:25 PM »
Hi,

I have some issued with a certain approach having a sinus wave ending at the peak-amplitude where it started.
I set up a spline and tried adaptive or tile in a 1S-generator - it does work, when only having a fixed sice-object.

But it messes up with random-sized objects. In this case I need to have random wave lengths 100% / 150% / 200% ... and it messes with the ending, overlapping the spline end.
Cutting it off is not an option, as then you have different amplitude endings.

Is there a way to set it up properly?

Difficulty is, that length of the spline is different on various parts of the model.

Hi.
We could check into the issue if You attache a maxfile with Your setup.

... well i found a work-around which might work so far. I set up 4 various sets of 100/150/200 length waves - so the 4 sets have the same length in total... and randomizing their appearance...

might be as good as the other aproach - still I thought that the "adaptive" will be applied by the result of objects... not by some fixed "length" of random objects.

Hi Rokas,

its basically a simple setup ... 3 various length objects randomized to fill a spline.. The adaptive/Tile works only if the length of input object is identical and not random - unless i miss something

That's how math works in RC.
As a workaround- there is a macro "Scale final X seg.". Try using that.
