Post by: CQ4419 on May 13, 2016, 04:56:26 PM
Hi
I've a problem with a simple object :
My problem is that i have no render with a simple hedge.
As you can see it's a single bush and a simple line... i don't know what happens. because it appears in the viewport...
Could you help me ?
Thanks
Roland

Please, would you send us (http://send us) the scene to check it ?

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the scene. The RailClone001 object has exceeded the number of faces defined in Display->Limits.
Probably the warning message is not shown because you turned on at some time the 'Do not show...' checkbox:

I just noticed RailClone doesn't show any message in General->Object Statistics or the Lister if an error occurs in the last render. It would be caused by the Corona implementation, we'll check that.

Please not that not all segments generated by RailClone are instances. Pieces which are be bended or sliced cannot be instanced, and RC creates a mesh with all of them.
In this case, the bush segment is a high poly mesh (more than 1 mill. faces). That's is causing the limit exceeding.

As alternative, you would create a basic structure for the bush with RailClone, and scatter the leaves over it using Forest. This method may be more efficient on the instances generation.

Hi Carlos
Thanks a lot for this "Sunday" answer. I think it's easier for me to do some "little" parts of RC : I've detach some splines of the general I had at the beginning, and, because it's more light, it working fine.
Now i have problems with materials (only one ID on the instances and a multisub object at the base...). But I will find this !
Thanks again.
