Not filling spline
« on: May 23, 2017, 09:49:29 AM »
Hi,

I am building fassade variations with railclone and my head is close to explode.  ;)
A spline which is 45m long is devided in a 1,5m raster as the Module width. But for some reason it will not stop with the last modul but leave the space free.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us. It's hard to tell what might be the issue from your screenshot. Could you upload the RC object and spline so I can take a closer look? If you'd prefer not to upload it to the forum, please feel free to send the file to support@itoosoft.com.

Thanks!

Paul

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

I attached the problem. The top is without fillet and the bottom with fillet corners.
The entire goal is to have the fillet version and modules which are right on top of each other.
But because the module will not be stacked on top of each other I decided the release the fillet curves
so I can try to get them (with vertex make first) at least on one side straight.

We worked pretty accourate so the modules should fit into each segment (1,5m) but it does not work as expected.

Best regards

HI,

Thanks for the file. This problem arises because of the combination of using the Evenly input with a the segment set to Right Align. You can see the issue in the illustration below.

As you can see, aligning the right side of the segment to the Evenly divisions results in a gap at the end of the array. There are a couple of solutions.

1 - If the spline is always exactly in multiples of the segment size, the easiest fix is probably to wire the segment to the End input.
2 - An easier solution might be to use the Default input, and then set the deform mode to Adaptive.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Many Thanks,

Paul
