Stairs & Landings
« on: December 11, 2020, 06:34:14 AM »
Hello again,
I stuck with stairs with landings.
I am looking for two solutions:

1. In first case i would like to have fixed three inputs - total height of whole stairs,  defined lenght of landings and landing after n-step option

2. In second case I would like to have: fixed total height of the stairs and fixed number of landings with defined lenght

Thanks for help

As I can see on the first look, at least for the second case you will need some average step height input parameter.

I`m in a hurry right now but I could take a look today if Itoo guys don`t have time because they are solving some other topics  ;D

So I`m off the hook  ;D
I had an idea for a macro with some automated variations but my algorithm expands a lot and there is no time.  :(
I left it to my son to finish all the math and extract all formulas needed to set up expressions. (He is not interested in Max/RC but he is a physicist and good with ABCD=X*Y%f+*r^34/n)  :D)
I hope he will do the job in the next few days. Kids!!! ;D

if so i have to make one of them...  ;D

 ;D ;D ;D
The Young Gun finished the formula!
Here is the basic setup macro.
It is up to me now to finish the Style.
More to come:
1. Include Start/End Landing
2. Fixed number for Landing
3. Z Size option: Ground Size/Individual Step Size
4. Treashhold for Tread Depth
5. Based on L1S / A2S Generator
6. Enable Curved Spline Path
...

Hi

Attached two styles as requested in 1st post. I hope there are not too many math mistakes in it ;)

Hope this helps.

Thank you again for your time,
Rokas quick question about one of styles which you made. Is it possible to match flat surface to tread, if so I could make handrail as well:D
Thx

2 days of work and no progress:(

i know that for treats I have to add padding value for steps and landings multiped by number of them and same transform data but each time i recieve multiplied values :(

idea for handrail is create flat non-renderable surface and use it as helper surface
so if i switch to count mode ill get handrail, but i need ending segment to cap it

Rokas could you help me again with this things ?
Many thanks
