Randomised edge to paving
« on: April 02, 2020, 02:53:24 PM »
Looking at trying to figure out how to randomise the edge of paving so that it fades out randomly to grass.

Attaching an example of this. but the area may not just be a rectangle, it might be angled slightly to be more a diagnol path etc.

Is this possible with whatever spline shape is drawn, to find the edges and then begin to scatter paving gradually, leaving it fully paved in middle but edgeless at the boundaries.

Hi Theo,

In this case ForestPack would be easier and more flexible to setup.
Create grid distribution with unlocked XY units parameters.
Then add Spline near that Dissolved edge. And customize density FallOff parameters:

Hey Rokas,
Thanks for your response! Don't know why FP didn't cross my mind for that! Works a charm, thanks!
