Hi Rokas, thanks again for helping me with the piano hair a while back. That was really helpful.
I am doing something similar and would appreciate your help on this too.
The image on the left is what I have so far, although I am having trouble getting the padding and alignment the way I would like. When I decrease the padding, they disappear. Also when moving them left/right they get misaligned on the other end of the spline.
The image on the right is the look I am going for.

Thanks a lot

Hi Alex.
Can't wait too see Your final image!
I modified the style. Feel free to adjust constant values in red note for fine tuning.

Thanks a lot Rokas. I tried applying it to some curved splines, and a helix to test and it acts very strange with the gaps and squashes them. Is there something that can be done to allow this to be a bit more flexible?
-
Actually nevermind, it works okay on a bezier line. Was just the helix that got messed up, but don't plan on using it like that.
Will let you know if anyhting else comes up. Thanks Rokas
-
Should You still want to use on helix or it will cause You some problems, first thing to try setting Bevel Mode: None

The level of support is beyond anything I've experienced. Thanks so much Rokas.

Hi Rokas, could you possibly add a parameter for a twisting rotation along the middle axis? Starting with the base (larger side) remaining the same, and gradually rotating along the spline. Thanks so much

Sure thing.

Thanks a lot Rokas! Is it possible to have the twist start at the top (smaller side), so that the base (bigger side) doesn't get affected?
-
Also I think the "slide" functionality broke, and at the ends of the strands they start to separate
-
Actually the slide isn't an issue because it is so small. The main thing is the rotation only affecting the smaller end first, so the bigger base doesn't rotate :-)
Thanks Rokas
-
Illustration please.
That would probably need few more numeric controls.
if You could illustrate what aspects You need to be adjustable.
-
Hi Rokas, thanks for the reply. Sure here is an illustration.
I resolved the sliding issue. The only thing I would need is the twisting to start from the opposite end than it currently is.
To understand a bit better, I am aligning many of these next to each other, then when I modify the twist parameter, it would be cool if the twisting started at the top so I don't have to keep re alligning the base of all of them.
Is that possible?
Thanks

I think it is enough to switch values for these parameters:

Oh wow, how embarrassing to not have thought of that haha. I spent over 1000 hours on this project so far and it's making me crazy.
Thanks again Rokas :-)
-
Hey Rokas, so this project did actually make me a bit crazy. I came back to after 13 months and am finally finishing it (perhaps a few more days). I hope you like what I did with your plugin. I'm sure you'll see it around soon :-)
Thanks again for all of your help earlier!
