Windows Facing
« on: September 15, 2022, 06:56:17 PM »
Hi,

When modeling we often do 4 sides of a building at once, but sometimes we have problems with opposite windows (or other railclone objects).
See attachment.

It's a clipping plane array 2S. Is there a way to avoid this? (we prefer not to detach the splines)

Best regards,
Vincent

Hello Vincent,

You have several options to help to tell RailClone which splines should generate a new array, and which are clipping areas within an existing array. They are as follows:

 - Complete uses the original RC2 behaviour, stacked splines are alternatively include or exclude geometry. In this mode you can get issues with splines on opposite sides of a building.

- None treats each spline as unique, overlapping or stacking splines have  no effect.

- By Material ID allows you to assign a material ID to the splines to determine which should be considered to belong to the same array.

I hope that helps,

Paul

Great, that works.
Thanks for explaining!

Only thing we had to change to use it with right ID's is using a conditional to check the ID's instead of the limits.
