Panels rotation
« on: August 15, 2022, 08:59:44 AM »
Hey,

Hope to get help from you,
I need to produce a facade for a building that consists of rotating panels (like doors) but with a relatively simple gradient, and I can't make each panel individually rotate from its axis, so that it actually opens like a door.
Wondering what is the best way to do this.
I would love a method in which a gradient in size and a gradient in rotation can be combined.
I am attaching a file in which they created it quite simply in another software.
Thanks ;D

Hi,

Please see the attached file. The main issue with rotating panels is maintaining the original grid of the array. In this file I've solved that by combining a rotated segment with an "empty" segment that has the panel's original size wired to its X Fixed Size input.

Please take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Paul

Thank you !
Appreciate it .
It's a bit complex for me, really, but I'll try to figure it out.
Railclone is very intuitive but I wish there were simpler ways to produce varied facades or actions with a gradient of size and rotation.
