parquet floor
« on: March 21, 2016, 03:54:03 PM »
Still a question compared to parquet floor.

I have 4 slats to create my parquet floor. But I will like to assign 5 textures to a slat so that is not always repeated.
Is it  possible?
Thank u  ;D

Hi,

Yes, that's something easily feasible with help of the Material operator(s). I would suggest you to check the "4 - How to Control Matrial IDs" part of our Next Steps with RailClone guide. You'll find there several recommendable work-flows and examples.

Let me mention, that's also possible to use "Bercon Gradient, Multi-Texture or CrossMap with RailClone" for such purposes.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

The parquet floor is finish (finally about; D).
But now I will like to affect my textures on the parquet floor.
In the view I can see the textures, but when I do a render it didn't recognize materials.
Why?
Thank you

And a another little question, is it possible to have a value lower than 0.001m ?

Hi,

Your scene (using a VRayMultiSubTex map) renders here correctly (attaching screenshot). Would you mind to specify which V-Ray release are you using? Thanks in advance.

Yes, for these purposes please switch the Display Unit Scale to Milimeters (for example) and you'll be able to adjust its values with 0,001mm precision. There is no need to change the System Unit Setup.

Hi,

I've done another quick test with V-Ray 2.40.04 & RC 2.5.0 and all renders as supposed. As there is no light in the uploaded scene, I would suggest you to add some light(s) (for example a VRayLight) and give it a try again. If the issue persist, would you mind to upload image rendered on your configuration? Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
