RC2 -> RC 3 array2s behaviour when mirroring
« on: July 27, 2017, 11:40:37 AM »
So i made a library of rooftiles in RC2, but now, when using those in RC3 there's all sorts of issues.
All of these below actions 'used' to 'work'

- Moving both the clipping & the railclone now results in double transform for the railclone object. (might be solved with only moving the clipping)
- mirroring the clipping and railclone will totally flip the railclone this. This is really problematic since we often mirror the xref of the buildings we use the railclone roofing on. No solution found yet

(thank you for removing the deployment options on what version to install where ... not so much thank you I'm afraid :( )

Please help me out here, you've basically killed our primary use of railclone at the moment. (unless I am hopefully overlooking something)

Hi,

We have written a page to help users convert their RailClone 2 styles to RailClone 3. Also, please feel free please send us the problematic style(s) for review. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

I just sent a file to helpdesk@itoosoft.com

you need to open the rc_rooftile Main.max  in there you'll find an xref'd scene (xRef_rc_roofile.max) bound to a dummy.

when mirroring or moving that dummy, the problems will become instantly recognizable.
- Moving the dummy results in double transform (the raiclone object goes twice as fast as the clipping spline)
- mirroring will result in chaos.
