Title: Prevent geometry overlapping on corners
Post by: Keith678 on December 03, 2021, 07:42:06 PM
Hi guys,

So I recently purchesed Railclone and following some tutorials to get use to it. (this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe0MPT0S0wI)
One big issue I had before I had railcone, was when using sweeps for paths, it would overlap some of the geometry at corners. However Railclone seems to be doing the same thing.

The sweep actual does a better job here but I'm sure I'm not optimising my workflow.
Any tips or help would be great.

Thanks,
Keith

So I've noticed that even though they overlap they don't seem to effect the render itself. but the dropped section looks strange

The first step of increasing the interopolation steps to 100 helped with this issue.

Glad to read you found a solution. There is a limit on how wide a pavement can be before the edge loops intersect (basically no larger than the corner's radius) but apart from that, Curve Steps can really help.

Best,
