Problem extracting different Railclone instances
« on: April 23, 2025, 01:45:51 pm »

Hello, I regularly use Railclone to distribute models in a scene. For example, 10 different types of houses with the same multi-material. I'd like to be able to finish the project with all the Railclone elements separated by instances of the 10 original models, only with their rotations, scales, and positions, without deformations or cuts. I don't want to use Forest. I need to export only the instances for Unity. Thanks.

Hi,

You can use RailClone Tools to export all geometry to instances. You can find it under Utilities > More ... > RailClone Tools. For more information about it, check our online reference guide. Let me mention, that's possible to get RailClone values by using the RailClone Exporter tool (export them to a .XML file). This tool is developed mainly to be used in advanced pipelines and to aid interoperability between software.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
