RailClone 4 Macros
« on: December 04, 2019, 09:17:43 PM »
Hi, as far as I can see, a lot of community members have a problem with windows.
I would like to share the macro I did during the RC4 Beta test.
The macro creates a window frame that can be open, tilt, slide, etc. Basically All-In-One  ;)
The video on the link shows how everything works.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTGXqxQVI-E
As the macro emerged during beta testing, the number of parameters increased as the Beta progressed so it is quite complex and maybe not suitable on the large scale projects. Also, there is a possibility that there may be a bag or two so please report it and I`ll try to fix it.

Anyway, I hope someone finds it useful.

Scene contains 3 RC object:
1. Based on the X/Y size.
2. Based on the Linear Spline and Parameter for Y Size (could be used with Marker workflow to use user data for e.g. Y Size)
3. Based on the Clipping Spline (First Vertex should be at the bottom left corner of the spline segment)

Best Regards.

Hi Dragan,

I'm testing your amazing macro  :D
But the "Clipping Spline", doesn't seems to work for me... :'(

As mentionned in the Noted:
Inside the used macros, I reconnect* the Array 2S to the Transform  (like in your video:  https://youtu.be/QTGXqxQVI-E?t=728).
But I got the message: "No Geometry"

Am I missing something ?  ???

N.B: I'm using your own file, freshly extracted from the .rar

Hi
Can you please send me a file so I can take a look.

I will try to upgrade the Macro so it can be switched from L1S to A2S just by a checkbox like in my blinds macro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqYXDpBw4pQ&t=11s

Hi
I cant see nothing wrong, everything opened well. All Railclone objects are fine here. Are you using RC4? :D ;D
Please make a print screen on the Master Genarator level so I can see where is the issue.
Thank you.

Hahaha
No, since Itoo introduces a Macro option I usually go straight to Macro when I create a Style. That gives me more flexibility to expand Generator if needed. Then from time to time, I share some of those macros when I see people are asking for it.

edit: Installed latest  RC 4.2.1,  now I can see 2D array macro  ;)

Besides some material issues, RC object is Correct here.  ???
I will check it and upgrade it to the Generator Level. I see you are going for some more material options. I will try to make this more elegant.

I have been planning to make a more painful generator with various types of windows and doors for some time now.
