RailClone 4 markers
« on: October 28, 2019, 03:45:41 PM »
Hi,
I'm a bit confused by how markers work, IDs seem to be working a bit randomly and with no consistency.
I have this scene in which segments which have their IDs assigned by the selector operator, don't correspond to the ones specified by the spline modifier.
The first segment plugged in the selector should correspond to markers with ID 1, I guess, but randomly ends up on markers with ID 3. All segments have IDs mixed up, and I can't really seem to find a proper way to have them working how they're supposed to.
Or maybe, more likely, I'm not using them correctly.
Is there anything I should be aware of when working with markers and IDs?
cheers

ID are counted from 0 as a start.
We have a video explaining essential stuff here:

alright. So the first segment in the selector operator has ID 0, second ID 1 and so on. Is that correct?

thanks for clearing this up, though I must admit it's kind of confusing to have the numbers on the selector starting from 1 instead of 0. One would expect consistency between operator and IDs assigned through the line modifier.
