Combination Roof

Are there any tricks to creating this type of roof attached?  It's quite a complex roof that I have to fill in this style.  Is it just a case of making sure I have two separate clipping splines, one for each gradient?

Ok that script is great and pretty much does what I was about to do manually so thanks for that.  My only issue is all of the splines need reversing, are there any steps I can take prior to using the script that would ensure all splines are the correct way round?

Not that i know of.

When creating from scratch manually You can control it's flow by creating shapes in clockwise or counter clockwise direction. When they are automatically created- i dont know.

Okay, one more questions - everything is working great, but ... where ridge's meet hips is a bit of a mess?  How do we ensure the junctions are correct?  Would this be a bit of manual editing?

It's just a simple pitched roof with a spline for each hip and a spline for the ridge, using the built in Macro (Universal Mortar Ridge and Universal Mortar Hip)
