Railclone define Seed of Randomize Operator
« on: August 16, 2022, 01:14:23 PM »
Hi,

I have the following problem:
I'm trying to use the same ranomize seed multiple times, but even if I use the same Randomize instance in two Railclone Generators the results are different.

Is there a way to define a randomize seed?

Best regards

Hi,

You can probably use the Sync Between Generators option and use the same Random node between both generators. Note however that generator types can't be mixed, so a random number node wired to an L1S and an A2S will get different results, but an L1s and L1s or A2S and A2S will get the same.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi thanks for the reply.

The sync between generators option is only available on a random parameter node. The randomize operator node I'm using does not have  any customization in that regard.

Is there a way to randomize Segments with the random parameter?

Hi, Yes you can wire it to the Index input of a Selector operator. That will then basically act as a Randomise operator but with a lot more control.

Cheers,
